WHAT WILL BE COLLECTED
WHAT ABOUT HAZARDOUS WASTE!
WHAT WON’T BE COLLECTED?
Refrigerator and freezer doors must be
removed. (these doors can be placed separately
with white goods for collection)
The total volume of hard waste for each household
cannot exceed two cubic metres (about an average
trailer load). More than this may result in none of
your hard waste being collected. Most types of hard
waste will be collected, provided two people can lift
Note: Items longer than two metres will not be
Asbestos, ammunition, explosives, fireworks and
flares cannot be accepted as hard waste.

Some materials cannot be collected as part of the
hard waste service.

● Tyres (enquire at your local tyre fitters)

ANNUAL CESSATION OF PUMPING
All irrigators and domestic consumers in the Renmark
Irrigation District are advised that pumping will CEASE
at the Main Pumping Station at: 9.00pm on SUNDAY
7 MAY 2017 to enable programmed maintenance and
repair works to be undertaken by Trust personnel.
The nature of these works is such that they cannot all
be carried out while normal pumping is in progress.
The supply will be restored by approximately 11.59pm
on FRIDAY 12 MAY 2017.
Domestic water from irrigation pipelines is
UNTREATED River Murray water and is ‘NON-
POTABLE’ or UNFIT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
Water odours can develop, especially after large
rains. Please phone the office on 8586 6050 to report
Domestic water customers are advised to maintain
storage capable of holding up to 7 days water supply.
This is valuable during programmed shut-downs,
breakdowns of the Trust’s water supply infrastructure,
for the settling of dirty water and for avoiding odour
