The Loxton Retirement Village comprises of 4 Courts with
a total of 100 Independent Living Units with extensive lawn
and garden areas.
The role of the gardener/caretaker is divided into two parts.
Part A: Maintenance of lawned and landscaped areas of
all four courts.
Part B: Assistance to residents with minor maintenance
and repairs to units.

SA Water has three full time positions on offer for Lock
Attendant maintenance workers at Lock 7, Lock 8 and Lock 9.
This is an opportunity for a change in lifestyle and to live
remotely, the successful applicant for each job would be
required to live at the Lock adjacent the River Murray. Houses
are provided, for which rent is payable. Applicants must be
available to be rostered to work every second weekend or as
required and to work in remote and isolated locations.
The role is to assist with the operations and maintenance of
River Murray Lock and Weir structures and their surrounds and
other Murray Darling Basin Authority facilities as directed.
Applicants will be responsible for the operation of locks for
navigation, interaction with boat operators, control of river
flows, recording monitoring data, operation and monitoring
of fishways and environmental structures. Duties also include
the ongoing preventative and corrective maintenance of
infrastructure, buildings, gardens and public facilities.
It is essential to hold a current driver's licence, a boat operator's
licence and ideally be competent with use and operation of
hand and power tools, various vehicles and mobile plant. Any
HR, machine operator, crane or high risk work licences will be
considered an advantage, as will a Construction work White
Card or Senior First Aid Certificate. Applicants are required to
comply with safe work procedures, instructions and guidelines
and to have some basic computer skills.
