Talking about your river
at the ‘River Murray Roadshow’
Join the South Australian Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources
Management Board and the Department for Environment, Water and
Natural Resources at the ‘River Murray Roadshow’ for a free BBQ and a
chance to talk one on one about your river.
Staff will be on hand to provide information and answer questions on a
range of project areas, including:
• The draft River Murray Water Allocation Plan
• Irrigation efficiency projects
• Water Licensing
• Commonwealth Environmental Water Office
• Long-term watering plan

The South Australian Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources Management
(SAMDB NRM) Board is seeking expressions of interest from people to
become members of one of the four Natural Resources Management
NRM Groups advise the Board, work with local communities and
stakeholders to have input into the regional NRM Plan, are involved in
local NRM initiatives and promote public awareness for NRM within the

Notice is given that pursuant to Section 26 of the
Harbors and Navigation Act 1993, the Department
of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure has
granted an Aquatic Activity Licence to the Renmark
Christmas Celebration Committee to use for a
fireworks display on an area of the River Murray at
Renmark as follows:
From the Renmark Rowing Club downstream to
the Argo Barge.
For safety reasons, vessels and persons other than
those participating in the events are prohibited from
entering the above area of water between 7.30pm to
10.00pm on Friday 5 December 2014.
A through corridor with a maximum speed of 4 knots
is to be provided on the eastern side of the river for
the length of the licensed area. There is to be no
movement of river traffic in the corridor during the

Annual General Meeting
Centenary celebrations of
the Argo Barge will be held on
Sunday 7 December 2014 from 1pm
at the Renmark Paringa Visitor
Members of the public are invited to join the
Argo Barge Committee in recognising the
100 year anniversary of the Argo Barge.
The Argo Barge will be open for the public
to view from 1pm.
There will be visual displays about the history of
the Argo Barge available in the Renmark Paringa
Visitor Information Centre (Murray Avenue,
Renmark) on the day.

The MCGCA Rex Andrew Trust Fund was established in 2000 with
surplus funds following the winding up of Murray Citrus Growers
C-Operative Association (Australia) Limited (MCGCA). The funds were
predominately from the sale of the Co-Op’s Renmark premises in the
The Trust was named after the late Rex Andrew who was the MCGCA
president for 20 years and contributed over that time to the South
Australian and wider Australian citrus industry.
Funds are made available annually for projects from the interest
generated on the initial capital to the Trust Fund and are allocated in
accordance to the Terms and Conditions.
