Wood workers clarification:
Details of an article that appeared in last
Tuesday's Murray Pioneer require clarification.
The article, headed 'Wood workers nail
community role', stated -- and The Pioneer was
advised -- that the Riverland Wood Workers
group still uses the Old Renmark High School
rooms for free. The organisation in fact now pays
rent to use that facility.
Locals are being advised
a meeting for the captains of
Riverland Relay for Life teams
is being held at the Berri Resort
Hotel tomorrow night.
Organisers of the annual event,
which raises money for the Cancer
Council of Australia, said locals
should come along regardless whether
or not their team is registered.
The meeting will take place at the
local hotel from 7pm.
Direct all enquiries to the commit-
tee on 0418 839 311.
